audio production

While attending the University of Cincinnati’s Electronic Media Division, I became enamored with sound and audio production, and over the years I’ve found myself drawn to the production of stories and features using mostly Pro Tools.

Take for example audio features I’ve produced for the Stockton Heat broadcasts like my most popular segment, “You Don’t Know Me”, using the song aptly titled “You Don’t Know Me” by Ben Folds featuring Regina Specktor in which I ask a series of questions that would be answered by a player in a getting to know featurette.

I produce every aspect of the broadcast including intros, outros and promos, with the exception of national brands like Budweiser and Subway. I help companies with scripts, record them using a voice actor and edit them for use on the broadcast.

Apart from playing instruments, I’m extremely versed in the audio production process and can produce a multitude of different kinds of audio projects.  One of my first big audio projects outside of school that I really enjoyed was an audio feature we used during my time with the Tampa Bay Lightning where we used all 60 of Steven Stamkos’ goal calls from Lightning broadcaster Dave Mishkin.  The incredible feat was accomplished by Stamkos in the 2011-12 season and captured below in one of my all-time favorite projects I’ve made.
